Captain EO's Voyage
''Captain EO's Voyage'' is the twenty-ninth studio album released by guitarist Buckethead. The album's title is a reference to Michael Jackson's movie ''Captain EO''. It is not the first time Jackson has been referenced; Buckethead released the track "The Return of Captain EO" on the album ''A Real Diamond in the Rough'' in 2009, and a notable song dedicated to the death of Jackson titled "The Homing Beacon."
The album was first made available only as a download through iTunes, but 2 days after the release it was announced that the album would be released on CD through TDRS Music. It is also the first solo release since ''Kaleidoscalp'' (2005) that has not been released first through TDRS. The pre-order of the album, along with ''Left Hanging'', started on October 29 with a tentative release of December 1. Eventually, the CD was released on November 29.
